GOOGLE VOICE INTEGRATES WITH ANDROID CONTACTS

Google just released today in the Apps Market its own client of Google Voice for android, now, instead of having to use a separated application to make calls it integrate seamlessly with the contact list (address book) and dialer, (I configured the settings to handle all international calls and as soon as I try to dial one of those numbers it ask if I want to use Google Voice). I pay around 3 cents/minute calling to Spain.

I was using GV (I still like that app) but the fact that I don’t have to leave my contact list to use Google Voice is a time saver that make the difference.

HTC SENSE FOR ANDROID

sorry G1, after 8 months the honey moon is over, the new android user interface is going from so-so almost ugly to gorgeous and sexy, even when there is always space for big improvements it represents a quantum leap in the right direction, I just hope that the t-mo guys will soon deploy this baby in my now old and bulky G1.

Actually this interface is already partially ported to the android but is a non official version, so you need to be techsavy and be willing to deal with update troubles.

The last version of google product search for mobile, finally includes barcode scanning. It took a while since there were a couple of alternatives doing that since last year, but google with its huge market share surely will take over soon a piece of the action.

what I really like about this is that given the big database of products that google product search track, it will be a really useful tool for price comparation (as soon as vendors start adding the barcode to their submisions as a common practice)
