How to Ditch Your iPhone 2G for Android a G1 with no cancellation fee

want and G1 but hate to pay the cancellation fee?
smarterware, posted a great article about how to keep your AT&T account and replace your iphone for a G1 (unlocking it).
I can not confirm that the process works with accounts using 3G connection, for that reason I can only recomend the process for 2G iphones (G1 will run the edge connection, I will post any update about the G1 running on 3G AT&T network).

You will need:

• An HTC G1 (aka HTC Dream) phone running Android (you can exchange your old iphone G2 with a G1 owner, or buy one already unlocked…)
• $25 and a PayPal account
• A working iPhone 
• A paper clip
