UNLOCKED G1S FOR SALE AKA ANDROID DEV PHONE 1
A lot of people saw this coming, it was an oxymoron to have the device locked to T-Mobile running an open source os, (yes I know t-mobile did an investment that needs to recover, but still open source it’s intended to be open right?), now for only $399 you can get a development version of G1 called Android Dev Phone 1 (you must also register at the Android Market as a developer and pay $25.00 registration fee), who needs a G1 unlocked under the table? lets make a final not from google:
Android Dev Phone 1 devices are not intended for
non-developer end users. Since the devices can be configured with system
software not provided by or supported by Google or any other company, end users
operate these devices at their own risk…
